Today I tried out John Gray's technique of 'assertive asking'. This is the first time I've used it seriously. It was on an issue that was frustrating me quite a bit, and on which I wasn't really expecting any positive response from the male involved. In order to prove that the book must be stupid and wrong, I went to him one more time and, just as Mr Gray recommended, I asked 'would you?'.
It worked.
Dammit!
