I was a successful professor of history. I had a dark secret. The secret was: I was born with a different identity to the one which I had used for my entire professional life. A young woman came asking awkward questions. Instead of sending her packing, I had sex with her. Then I told her my secrets. Then you woke up, and it was all fiction after all.
Or was it?
What a simply terrible way to end a novel. This wasn't worth the six hours it took to read.
